Location & Access:

The house is a located on the edge of Raissac d'Aude - 15 minutes from the centre of Narbonne, 45 minutes from Carcassonne and Beziers and 35 minutes from a selection of “Blue Flag” Mediterranean beaches. The Canal du Midi is 5km away – easily reached by bike for cycle rides or walks. The market town of Lezignan Corbieres is 15 minutes away. The area is well known for its cathar castles and local wine is cheap and plentiful!

Raissac is a sleepy French village (just 250 people living here), yet has a corner shop selling fresh bread & croissants, & groceries and a post office. There are visiting vans selling meat and fish

The nearest bar is 2.5km away in Canet D'Aude, where there is also a small supermarket, pharmacy, newsagents & butchers.

Easily driveable in one day from the South of England, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark and Germany via the excellent motorway network in France, the house is less than 15 minutes from both the A61 and the A9 motorways
